Tonight all the students came to my apartment for a little End of Orientation Week party. They each brought something to eat or drink or to amuse us with. We had iPod music, coloring books, card games, and one student brought his new bouzouki. I was pleased that every single student showed up. They stayed exactly two hours and then the mass exodus, but I don't blame them because it was smotheringly hot long after the sun went down, and we've all got the first day of classes tomorrow.

All of Sunday leading up to the party was a day of blessed downtime for me. I feel much better after this rest. I cleaned, prepped Monday's class, and watched Dora the Explorer in Greek.

Dora in Greek
Linden loves Dora the Explorer. I can't even imagine watching it in Greek. When I watch cartoons in a foreign language, I always try to 'read the characters' lips' like I do sometimes with live action shows. You can imagine how successful this is with cartoons! Can you tell I am still a blond????

Re: Dora in Greek
I liked Dora the Explorer because it's geared to my current meager Greek language level. 'Which one is the red book? This one? Or that one? This one! Very good!'
