This day... made the entire trip worthwhile.  If it ended now, it was all worth it.

We made our way along the coast continuing north on our path counter clock wise around the island.

There were so many amazing sights that it's hard to remember all the details.  We did ride through Belfast noting the prolific presense of British flags.  We didn't plan to spend much time here so we moved on to the site of the Carrickfergus castle.  It's a well preserved examples and we browsed a bit then used the parking lot for a tail gate picnic as J met us with groceries.

We then travelled on to see one of the most spectacular scenic driving routes in the world...
The Glens of Antrim along the Coastal Causeway route.

It goes beyond words the beauty of the coast line along our right side and the gorgeous, green rolling pastures with their hedgerow squares and dotted with fluffy white sheep... and then the white rocky cliffs jutting out above your head.

We wanted to stop a million times (and we did quite a few), and inevitable some of the most amazing views where those when we were moving along.  While we may not have them all photographed, we will never forget the immense beauty.

From the open "viewpoint" of a motorcycle, you can truly appreciate the phenomenal panorama.  Also, the sweeping curves, and low traffic of the regional roads led to some amazing riding itself.  The kind of fun you buy a BMW enduro to enjoy.

We were just a few miles from our decided end destination (Bushmills) when Annette experiences a flat tire.  Thankfully, our crew chief was not too far away but nothing could dampen our joy and enthusiasm for our riding that day.
