LA was exactly what we expected it to be: spread out, heavy in traffic and amount of weirdos on Hollywood Boulevard, busy during the day and at night. So we spent the day driving around- starting in Hollywood and then taking Sunset Boulevard through Bel Air and Beverly Hills all the way to Brentwood, Santa Monica and finishing up in Venice Beach.
We have already found a spot for the night in a quite side street (an in-the-car night that was), when we realized we were not at all sleepy. And since we've seen enough of LA- let's drive to Vegas!
And so we did. The interstate is surprisingly dark with no lights beside the cars and there were a thousand trucks on the road too, so we did not quite make it all the way.
But what surprised us was the outside temperature at 2 o'clock at night: 37 degrees!!! At some stage I thought our thermostat is giving up... But no, nighttime in Vegas is warmer than any summer day in Sweden.
