My First Day

I am at the end of my first day and already it is getting difficult to keep this travel log up-to-date. Who wants to spend time behind the computer when you can have REAL fun, right ?

But just to show you I havenīt forgotten anybody at home, here some quick impressions from my first day :

- I only had two hoursī sleep on Sunday Night when I came back from Germany. I still had to pack and there was a translation that I had to finish. This was not too bad, it meant I could get some sleep on the plane;
- There was a storm raging in Belgium, and it was getting closer to the airport so when our plane departed with a 30 minutes delay, I was happy that the flight didnīt get cancelled Some friends in Tallinn

. There was a lot of turbulence, but apart from that the trip was uneventful and it was nice to follow the Baltic Coast from the air.
- Anneli and her father where waiting for me at the airport and we drove straight to their lovely house just outside of Tallinn. More about Anneli in a couple of days. She deserves a chapter on her own ;-)
- Then we went to Tallinn by train and I exchanged some Euros for Estonian Krones and I bought myself a new telephone number for use here : +372/53.62.44.09 Please use it as much as you like !
- After that Anneli gave me a quick city trip. I had been here before, but she still showed me a couple of places that were new to me, especially some nice shops and places to relax;
- Her mother prepared us a great meal made of sauerkraut, potatoes and pork chops, and a delicious cake;
- And then I went back to Tallinn to meet a friend of Anneli`s, Mihkel, who had been a host in my house a couple of months earlier. We went to a gay club, Angel, www.clubangel.ee where we drank cocktails (Mojito, Pink Fag) and I ate some hot Thai soup (Tom Yang Goon). Recipes will follow in a couple of days.
- I also met two other HC members, Kaisa and Hanna and their Swiss guests Dani and Florian. Together we finished the evening at another private place with beer and some friends of Hanna`s.
