OK  sooo after a day relaxing in Salta after a night out...we had another slight change of plans and instead of heading straight to Mendoza we were persuaded to check out Cordoba and that is what we did....

... After a 12 hour bus, super luxury i might add, and for just over 20 quids a 12 hour bus comes complete with leather reclining lazy boy type chairs, as much leg room as you could possibly need (rivals first class on a plane), whiskey, wine and a hot meal! not what i expected.

We then arrived in Cordoba..... what did we do in Cordoba  -> not much!  and it has been really really good, not to rush around, no early mornings just a few days of relaxation.

We wandered around a LOT! just exploring the city and popping into shops here and there, attempted to watch Hancock at the cinema, but they were not playing any English versions.....just English versions of "The happening".... has anyone seen this....any good?  We did watch the new incredible hulk on copied DVD and although the quality was not top notch i still really enjoyed it..... i prefer it to Ang Lees version...if you get a chance watch it!

Have just finished reading the autobiography of Ranulph Fiennes called ´´Mad, bad and dangerous to know¨, i found i was gripped to this book, and enjoyed every only criticism would be some repetitiveness at parts but other than that i really enjoyed the very informal, chatty writing style that explains ever detail of his journey in such a way you just cant stop reading!  So Ranulph Fiennes -> He has lost a lot of his close family including his wife who passed away, the description of this i found very very hard to read and very upsetting (so be waned if you give it a go).  He has been knighted, he was the first man to reach both the north and the south poles by surface travel man hauling a sledge of equipment.  And the first man to cross the antarctic continent unsupported.  In the 1960s he joined the army of the sultan of omen after being kicked out of the SAS for misusing explosives.  He has led over 30 expeditions including first polar circumnavigation of the earth.  In 2003 he ran 7 marathons, in 7 days on 7 different continents and was named best sportsman of the year for 2007 GB awards.  Randomly he had a house on Exmoor and was training for a rock climbing trip in a Church in Bristol along with the Avon gorge and Cheddar!  Def a good read, i recommend it to everyone..... i especially think James A and Pat C will enjoy this book.

So after not doing much in Cordoba we were all set to catch the bus and head to Mendoza.... we bought our tickets, headed to the bus station....waited 40 Min's for the bus to turn up and just as we were about to put our bags on Zoe remembered she had left her passport, camera and MP3 player in the safe at the hostel!!!  She took a mad taxi dash to the hostel and back but unfortunately this would be the first time we would miss a bus.  After showing the bus ticket to the guys at the ticket counter, without any argument just complete co - operation they changed the date  for the next night and no money was lost!  Zoe then very kindly treated us to a gande pizza and beer :)

Off to Mendoza!
