Tom is now in Sana'a. He is doing two weeks intensive Arabic and then is hoping to travel around.

We were there in '83 to '84 - before Tom was born - so he is enjoying visiting places where his famly lived.

Now over to Tom...

First, thank you, Duncan for sharing the blog address so I could read what Tom is up to of late. What a wonderful opportunity for him, one that will never be forgotten! Great that he's following in your and Rita's footsteps too.

I forgot to add--you are such an inspiration to all, even though I doubt that I'll ever get to travel to some of the places you've gone in your young life. I really am enjoying reading your blog comments and following your trek both in seeing new places and in seeing things within yourself. You're quite something. I do agree with Susie too, that you'd have a career in travel journalism, if chose that direction! Commentary such as yours is ever so entertaining and enlightening all at once!
