Day 1

Chilled out for the morning in the hostel and then headed out to Kelly Tarlton's sea world for the afternoon which was an experience getting to view Penguins, Sea horses, stingray's and big big sharks that were thankfully behind some thick thick glass! We caught a bus back into the city, walked around and took in the city, we were going to head up the sky tower but it was way too foggy so we left it hoping that tomorrow will be a sunnier day.

We then headed back to the hostel, cooked dinner and sorted out stuff for flying on friday!!

Day 2

Up early, grabbed breakfast and headed for the Sky tower. The weather was gorgeous and we got great views of the city and its surroundings!! There are 500 dormant volcanoes in the Auckland area....if they become 'undormant' then Auckland is a wee bit of trouble!! We stayed up in the tour for a few hours taking in the great views and watched some people jump off the top of the tower...nice looking at knowing that we weren't jumping ourselves!!

After that we walked up to a park and then walked out and met a few friends, Brendan and Hillary for lunch and walked back into the city!!

New Zealand is an amazing country, probably our favourite so far, with a wide variety in activities, sights, cultures and climates to see and do. Throw in the world cup, the fanatical Irish fans, meeting old friends, making new ones and the good beer and GREAT wine we had a wonderful time.  But in saying all that we are looking forward to moving on....Fiji here we come!!
