The time in Tanzania has come to a close and we are now at cousin Bridget's place in London. The last days in Tanzania were a whirlwind, visiting friends and family. On Saturday night we went to the bar with Julius' friend and his wife. We were not in a state to drive so we stayed over at his place that night. I wasn't complaining because he has A/C in his guest room. Tanzanians have a weird relationship with temperature. They won't drink ice water, they don't like strong fans while sleeping and these friends have a A/C unit in their guest room, and not their own room. He has a great outdoor room for sitting in during the day that I will have to post photos of.
All last minute purchases were made on Monday, including Kariakoo market, which I never had the guts to visit before. It went well - that place has everything! We also picked up parcels for friends in the states from various siblings here.
We did get a n upgrade on the flight from Dunstan, Julius' friend and Patricia, another friend of his working for British Air. It was a good flight
London is freezing! I forget what it feels like to be cold. Luckily Bridget and I wear the same shoe size so I can wear hers instead of sandals.
