<b>Lee-Ann’s Spa day</b>
I had two fantastic treatments today. A ”Foot Recue”, which was very much needed after all the walking we have done! Also a Skin repair facial, also very much needed after travelling with Brett and two pre-schoolers!!! Both were fantastic. My feet are young again and my face is……well……repaired somewhat?! I arrived back at the apartment feeling great and ready for the next adventure.
<b>Brett, Max and Sienna’s day</b>
After Lee-Ann left for her spa treatments, I rounded up the troops and took them out for a walk. It was pretty cold today, 7 degrees. Our first stop was the playground. We only stayed for a short time as some of the equipment was still wet from the rain we had the night before. We then ventured down to the lake for morning tea (fruit). The sun was trying to break through the clouds…..it was really cold. We casually walked back to the apartment and on the way back Max needed to go to the bathroom. So I pointed to a tree nearby. Max thought about it, but casually said “Daddy, it’s too cold, I’ll wait until we get back to the apartment”. See, who said kids can’t adapt! Once back, we had lunch and sat down to watch a DVD while I read the newspaper
We all went for a drive into Huntsville town in the afternoon. We stopped at “The Kawartha Dairy Company” for some “Moose Tracks” ice-cream – Vanilla ice-cream with peanut butter cups swirled with Moose tracks fudge!!! We then drove past the Grandview Golf course (very nice) and the Hidden Valley Highlands ski area. Funny how the slopes looked small compared to Banff, Jasper and Whistler!
For Dinner we went to the resort’s signature restaurant, Eclipse, located in the pavilion with views over the lake. The dining room had very high atrium style ceilings with natural timber. We had a wonderful time. Both Max and Sienna had a Muskoka kids burger (have a look at the size – awesome). We enjoyed entrées of Milford Bay Smoked Trout and Atlantic Diver Scallops. Absolutely lovely. For mains, Brett tried the “Pan seared loin of Rainy River Elk” while Lee-Ann had the “Supreme of Chicken”. Both fantastic. We all had a wonderful night. So great when you can just walk back (roll back!) to your apartment.
