The Ford Rouge Factory Tour

We awoke to a beautiful sunny summer day outside of Detroit, Michigan. Today started out with catching up on life...laundry, mail, and cleaning. Keegan, Collin, and I headed out at noon to get acquainted with the automobile industry. We started out with the Ford Rogue Factory Tour today in Dearborn to learn about the history of Henry Ford and how they make the 150 truck.
The tour was more than we expected with amazing movies highlighted with terrific special effects. The history of the Ford Motor Company was interesting and we loved to see the Ford 150 truck moving along the conveyor belt with workers busy doing their part. They produce 1000 trucks a day there...2 shades of red, gray, charcoal, white, and blue were the colors coming off the production lines.
After riding the bus back to the welcome center, we saw another IMAX movie...Dinosaurs in 3D. It was very interesting, especially after being in the Badlands recently watching the live dinosaur dig going on there with the paleontologists. Keegan is now interested in going on a real dinosaur dig himself!
We got back to the KOA in time for the boys to play basketball (their favorite sport this week)! It was a perfect summer night and Riley was happy to go for a walk too! -Kelly
