The weather was a bit different from the norm today. It felt like a Fall day with pretty strong winds and a hi of about 65. The winds were so strong, it got to be a little tough keeping the RV between the lines. It took us about 3 hours to drive around the lake, down to Mackinaw city. As soon as we got set up in our spot the sky opened up with a major thunderstorm and hail.

After the storm passed we went downtown to walk around. We've heard so much about "Pasties" we had to try them. They were basically some dough wrapped around meat or vegetables. The Miners would take them into the mine to eat for lunch. I guess if you were really hungry... Anyway, now we've tried one.

I took the boys to see a movie after we walked around for a while. We came back to the park around 9pm. It was plenty light out so the boys got to play a little basketball with some of the other kids. It was actually a huge group of kids, all ages. Some of the older kids called Keegan 'Tiger Woods' because he had his golf hat on. They called Collin 'Brett Favre' because he had a green jersey on. They hung in there with the older kids and even scored a few baskets.
