On to Michigan

We had a 'drive day' today. We've got some ground to cover in the next few days to get to Mackinaw Island, MI and get me to Detroit to fly out Sunday. We were planning on going to Chicago, but decided this would be a lot less stressful and we've been wanting to go to Mackinaw. We drove about 5 hours today and with the exception of some views of Lake Michigan, it was pretty uneventful.We made a couple of stops along the way(Starbucks...), but made good time.
We got into Escanaba around 8pm with the change to the Eastern time zone. We're doing the Wal-Mart thing tonight. We did go out and have dinner a local spot and met some of the Escanaba residents. It's a pretty quiet little town and the people are as nice as you could imagine. Tomorrow, we only have 2-3 hours to get to Mackinaw!
