We were blessed that the RV park had a cancellation, so we could stay one more night. We had to move to another spot, but we were just glad to have gotten a spot. Once we got moved, we started driving through the Teton National Park. We made several stops to see the 'Old Jackson Hole Inn,' have lunch on Jenny lake and at one of the ranger headquarters. Although this park is pretty close to Yellowstone, it has a beauty of it's own. The lakes that surround the Tetons mirror the huge mountains and therefore make them even bigger. We saw more wildlife throughout the day.
As you drive through the park, you're headed toward Jackson.(Hole) We drove into town this afternoon. After we ran a few errands, we went to the "Bar-T-5" ranch for dinner. It was a dinner show where they take you up in a horse drawn covered wagon from the old west up to a camp about 2 miles up. There were actually about six wagons, so we had a pretty big group. They have a barbecue dinner ready for everyone and perform. They sang and told jokes. They even did this one skit where a guy comes in on a horse dressed as an old trapper. He's supposedly 'comin' to find a wife.' Of course, he picked Kelly out of the crowd, took her up on stage and proposed to her. It was really funny. We met a nice family from Idaho that is actually on their way to Florida.(moving to Tampa) We had a good time talking to them as well a few other families from Florida.
We really like the town of Jackson. It is often compared to Park City, but we definitely like Park City better!
