This morning, the boys and I went to the pool for a little while and they also played putt-putt.(at the RV park) Our Doctor friend, Leslie and her kids came over around noon and Kelly and the the boys went with them to 'Travelers Rest.' This is a historic site that apparently is the only location where they actually found physical evidence that Lewis and Clark were there. They stopped at this spot going west and then on the way back east. Kelly and the boys spent most of the day touring the area and learning more about the 2 explorers.(they should be experts by now)
I caught up with a friend and his wife from West Palm Beach. They have a place hear just outside of Missoula. They showed me around town, we had lunch and they took me by their place. It is a great little cabin on a 'picture perfect' piece of property. It is exactly what you think of, when you think of Montana. It sits on an amazing river that has some of the best fly fishing around and has great mountain views. When Kelly and the boys finished at 'Travelers Rest' we went back to Tim & Cheryl's for some fishing. we didn't have a lot of luck fly fishing. So, instead we through a worm in on a cane pole.(it just didn't look right) But, we caught 2 of the biggest trout I've ever seen. I think one of them was a 'Bull Trout' and it was probably 5-10 lbs. Something about fishing in a beautiful Montana river with a cane pole was pretty funny. It was kind of a cross between "A River Runs Through It" and "Little Rascals."
After we finished fishing, we went to dinner at a very good Montana steak house. It was a neat log cabin style building filled with amazing taxidermy. The weather was perfect today. It was sunny and maybe got up to 80 degrees.
