But the real treat was visit to the spa Kelly had arranged. Surprisingly, she found a spa on barter here.(kind of) When we arrived at 'Jodie's Salon and Spa,' we realized it was an old historic house. Now, we have some really great experiences on barter, but that's not always the case:) Let me explain...Kelly had arranged for me to get a massage and reflexology. When I walked in and met Jodie, who I think was still in her pajamas, she put me in a recliner in the living room, reclined the chair and grabs an old blanket off the couch to cover me up. Now Jodie was a very sweet woman, but this was one of the most hilarious experiences I've ever had. This was one for 'Candid Camera.' So anyway, once I got "comfortable" Jodie started my reflexology/pedicure. She never used any water. But, the best part was her 'paraffin' treatment. Jodie took a plastic grocery bag and used it to rub lotion on my feet, took a towel out of the kitchen microwave, wrapped my feet and put the bags over them.
It was really very funny. Kelly had come in with me and met Jodie, so she could see where this was going. So she called after about 30 minutes to see if I wanted to stay. As much as I wanted to stay for the massage, I thought I better cut my losses. We were able to figure out a way for me to leave early without hurting Jodie's feelings.
After my spa treatment, Kelly took the boys to a skateboard park while I went to workout. It rained all day for the most part. So, this evening, I took the boys to see "Fantastic 4."
