The forecast was calling for rain again today, so we caught the morning ferry back to Port Angeles. We would've loved better weather, but we enjoyed our time in Victoria,BC.
When we got back to Port Angeles, the weather hadn't changed much. We drove to Olympic National Parks visitor center and saw some exhibits and watched a short film about the parks history.(The thing that amazed me was how big it is) We did our best to explore the park, but the weather didn't cooperate. We drove about 15 miles toward 'Hurricane Ridge" and decided to turn around. The views are spectacular and we did see a few deer along the way, but that was the extent of experience.
We stopped for lunch in Port Angeles and then made the 2 1/2 hour drive back. The boys had a couple hours of daylight to play with some friends they had made last week at this RV park. We'll stay here until Friday, when we begin heading east.
