We went to church this morning at the 'Cannon Beach Conference Center,' the place we were supposed to go last night. This Christian conference center is one of many around the country. It was amazing to hear of the faithfulness of the couple who started it almost 50 years ago. We were really blessed today by the speaker, Tom Schrader. Tom pastors a church in Phoenix, AZ. The best way I can describe Tom is the 'George Carlin of pastors.' He's about 60 years old w/ hair to his shoulders and hilarious. We heard him speak this morning and went back again this evening to hear him. He taught such a great message on our role as Christians. We introduced ourselves and plan to take he and his wife to lunch tomorrow.

We also got to see the 'Bean Family' in concert at CBCC. The Bean family is a Southern Baptist gospel group that travels around the country.  They gave a great concert as well and were very funny. The boys especially liked the youngest brother, Landon, who played the piano. The boys came into chapel for the concert. But, the rest of the time they were in the recreation center with the rest of the kids. They didn't want to leave because they were having so much fun. Collin even had a little girl come up and give him a note that said, "I love you." He didn't reciprocate.(but he didn't put her in a head-lock either)

We got out around 10pm and ran to the grocery store. Tom had mentioned he loved brownies. So, Kelly is making a batch of her brownies for him tonight.
