We had a great day today! This morning we got packed and left around 11am for our first stop in Oregon. I know I've said before that the scenery has been amazing. But, today was like no other. Once we got into Oregon, I realized why everyone we've talked to has gone on and on about Oregon.
It took us about 90 minutes to get to Gold Beach., OR. We made a couple of stops along the way. I grabbed a workout in Brookings and then we stopped for a bit to let the boys run on the beach. They had a blast.
We drove to the RV park we had reservations at, but were a little disappointed when we got there. We found another park a couple of miles up the road. We were so glad we moved when we saw the park. I think it's the best park yet. It's right on the Rogue River and surrounded by national forest. There's plenty of room for the boys and I to play catch and they spent an hour skipping rocks on the river. Kelly and the boys also flew their new kite Aunt Robin gave them and I threw the ball with Riley forever. We also built a fire and talked with our neighbors for a while. Like so many others, they gave us some great tips on some of our future stops. They also had 2 Labradors that Riley played with.
The best way to top the day off...we watched the movie RV, with Robin Williams.(It doesn't get any better then this)
