It's another perfect day in San Francisco with sun, fun, and temperatures in the 80s! We started out at 11:00 am and headed for Fisherman's Wharf to catch our sightseeing tour around the city and also across the Golden Gate Bridge area. The boys and I saw alot of interesting buildings, victorian-style homes, amazing architecture along our 3 hour tour.

Keegan and Collin were getting a little antsy riding on top of the double decker bus in the heat, so we hopped off at Union Square to walk around and get a bite to eat. It's a neat plaza area with every big name retail store you can think of surrounding it. It's also a great place to see street performers and homeless people looking for a handout. Believe it or not, we saw a homeless guy today who we met in another part of town yesterday and the boys recognized him.

After lunch and a stop by the Levi Strauss retail store, we jumped back on the bus some more city touring. We learned Levi got its start during the gold rush days supplying denim jeans to the miners and are still headquarted in SF. The highlight of the day, was cruising across the Golden Gate Bridge with the wind blowing and riding on top of the open air double decker red bus. The suspension bridge is 1.2 miles across and has amazing views from the vista point on the other side. We made a stop there for photos and then returned back across the bridge to SF to finish our 3 hour city tour.

Chris met us in SF at 6:00 and we took him down to the Union Square area to walk around and get a feel for the area too. It was a terrific night to walk around, people watch, and for the boys to hand out a few dollar bills to the many homeless on the streets. Oh, that reminds me of a creative one we saw today called the "Bush Man." He hides behind some thick green leafed branches on the sidewalk near Fisherman's Wharf and as you walk by, he jumps out at you with a loud noise and scares you almost to death.

I probably would have thought it was funny, but I hurt my neck yesterday carrying the backpack during our bike ride and had a bad pinched nerve in my neck. So when he jumped out at us, I felt like I had whiplash. He does this all to get a tip for scaring you. Sounds crazy doesn't it?  We heard from Chris's cousin Inger and her husband, Jim, that someone actually had a heart attack and the authorities had dealt with him over his scare tactics. He's still doing it and gets a big kick out of himself as do the onlookers who have caught on and watch too to get a laugh! He got me!

Collin was determined to get him back for scaring me so bad and decided to sneak up on him. So Collin did and the guy had a great sense of humor. He gave Collin a $1 bill out of his tip bucket for scaring him back.

Tonight was Game 1 of the basketball series between our Jazz and The Golden State Warriors. We came back to the RV park and listened to the Jazz win on the radio while the boys played little Game Cube together...they bond over it! Tomorrow is our last day in San Francisco and we're off to China Town God willing. -Kelly
