Hearing it from a man that obviously practiced what he preached really had an impact. In all honesty, probably 60% of the people in the church would have made me feel a little uncomfortable if I ran into them on the street. Seeing them standing next to me praising the same God I was praising and knowing that God 's love for them was no different than his love for me, really convicted me
After church we met my cousin, Inger, and her husband Jim. I haven't seen Inger in years and hadn't met Jim. They took us to a great reataurant, Scomas, down at the 'Wharf.' The food was excellent (no surprise) and it was great visiting with family. Jim grew up in San Francisco and was able to educate us a little on the history and areas we are headed to. One of the best parts of being on the road is catching up with family and friends.
The weather was beautiful again today in the 80s and this afternoon we took advantage of it. We drove to Golden Gate Park and rode our bikes. This park is incredible. First of all, it's huge and they close the rode through it on Sundays so you can ride bikes. We rode for a while and then we stopped while the boys and I threw the baseball. Collin also climbed some trees and the highlight was a rope hanging from a tree. The boys swang on it and at times were probably about 20ft in the air. They had a blast and so did I.(Kelly and I had to take a couple of swings also) After stopping for a couple of hours, we rode some more and then began to head back to the parking garage where we parked
After a day like that, we figured we earned some ice cream. So we headed to Ghirardelli Square. This has become a tradition when we're in San Francisco.(who am I kidding-it's a tradition wherever we go) It was a long day and we were blessed the whole day. -Chris
Ephesians 2: 3-4 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when were dead in transgressions.
