Horseback riding on the beach!

This morning we moved up the coast to Monterey. It was about a 2 hour drive to our RV park. We're walking distance to the ocean and the park is very nice. It's easy to see why CA is such a big agriculture state. On our drive we saw everything from strawberry fields, to cabbage to artichokes.(CA is the biggest artichoke producer in the world.) And of course we've seen huge vineyards along the way.
As soon as we got in and set up we headed to our horseback ride on the beach.(barter) It was beautiful and the boys loved it. Kelly and I have always wanted to do it. We are continuously reminding the boys how blessed they are to experience some of the things they are getting to. They did a great job riding and got the chance to run their horses a little.
After our hour long ride, we drive down to 'Cannery Row.' We were there 3 years ago when we came out here to shoot an infomercial. We had dinner and walked along the water.Of course, we had to make a stop at ghirrardellis for ice cream. We also stopped into a little silver store. Collin had been looking for a ring with an eagle on it. He actually found one. Kelly has been looking for rings for the boys as an easter present. Keegan also found a ring with Superman's "S" on it. They were both very excited and grateful. More thumbnails ...

Hearst Castle (reply) Apr 28, 2007 22:41 EST by benstar3
Hey Guys,
The trip to Hearst Castle sounds fascinating. Hope you took lots of pictures as I look forward to seeing some. I have always wanted to visit. You all should watch the movie, Citizen Kane. The movie was based on the life of W R Heast, and quickly became one of the greatest movies of all time.
Safe travels. Get some pix posted so that we can all see what you all ar... show all
