Fortunately, the weather was beautiful today. We made the 17 mile drive back down to downtown Santa Barbara. State street is 'the spot' in SB. It starts at the Pacific Ocean and goes on for blocks. There are great restaurants, shops... We walked for a couple of hours and then the boys and I played football on the beach while Kelly took a little tour of the city.
Afterwards, I worked out while Kelly and the boys toured the historic court house.(one of the most photograped buildings in the country) We also drove by the old Santa Barbara mission and stopped at an incredible park before we came back to the park.(home)
There was an amazing sunset on the way home. Although it was very windy, the boys talked me into building a fire so they could roast marshmellows. Today the weather was a little more typical of 'northern' California, rather than 'southern.' We had the jackets out most of the day.
We watched 'Dancing With the Stars, tonight and Kelly had the boys do a little schoolwork before bed time. Because we have no hook-ups here and we are only on generator, it is a little like camping.(very little TV, lots of reading and playing cards) -Chris
