Closed on Park City townhouse
Entry 118 of 241 | show all | print this entry |
We now have an address in Utah. We closed on a townhouse in Park City today. We will rent it out some, but we are looking forward to spending time there with our friends the Lytles. We had such a great time with them Skiing in February, we really got the bug. Right now the plan is to take a break from the RV from Thanksgiving to the New Year and spend it in Park City. We'll see how it goes.
Today, Kelly met with a 'frame' shop she found on barter. She picked up a bunch of great art work and photos on barter in Utah. She is meeting with another one tomorrow. We worked around here the rest of the day and then drove to San Dimas, another neat little historic town about 10 minutes away. We ate at an old diner type restaurant that was very good. I mentioned before that we have met some very nice people, but tonight we met one that 'takes the cake' or in this case 'gave the cake.' We were waiting for our dinner and the people next to us were eating a carrot cake. There were 2 couples and they had brought the home made cake with them. One of the couples was celebrating their anniversary. Kelly mentioned how good it looked and on of the guys insisted she try a bite of his. They were locals and filled us in on the area as well. We have been blessed by the people we have met on this trip.
After dinner, we were looking for a park for the boys to play in. We came across a farmers market with live music and a bunch of kids playing. The boys played soccer with some other kids until dark. Kelly and I watched and enjoyed the cool weather. It was one of the nicest evenings, weather wise, we've had in a while.
