Our day at Olympic Park in Park City, UT

Last night was the end of our stay at the Park City Hotel Condominium on Main Street. It was a comfy and convenient place to lay of heads, but a little loud sharing it with all the other downtown guests eating, walking, and talking all hours of the night.
After breakfast at our favorite bagel shop, Downtown Deli, we headed over to Olympic Park to meet our friends Keith and Jacob Lytle to watch the ski jumping exhibition. These kids go down these long ramps and fly through the air twisting and turning, then landing in a 750,000 gallon pool with skis and wetsuits on. They walk all the way up to the top of the stairs in their ski boots and do it all over again. What a great show!
After the show, all of us road the chair lift up to the "Quick Silver" alpine toboggan ride. After the Lytle's left, Keegan, Collin, and I road the chair to the "ZipLine" ride where you get in a harness, they let you go and you go flying down the incline attached to a cable. I didn't know if I could do it once I got to the top and looked down. The boys encouraged me and I couldn't let them down, so I got in the harness while my heart raced.
They opened the gates to let us race down to the bottom. The first 5-10 seconds I was thinking what have I done, but the attendant told me don't close your eyes...just look out at the beautiful view. I tried to close my eyes and it was worse. She was right. I opened my eyes and looked way out and it was much better and now I'm a little braver! It was fun to do with the kids and I would do it again when Chris is with us.
Before we left, we watched more adults and kids doing ski jumps into the pool, took the 45 minute tour where they show and tell you about all the other sledding courses at Olympic Park, and toured the museum to see photos and memorabilia from the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Jacob, Collin's friend, spent our last night with us at the hotel. They had a great time watching Ice Age 2 and eating munchies in bed.
