We hated to do it, but we finally departed San Diego. Some of the friends we met in San Diego told us about a great RV park in Newport Beach, about 70 miles north of SD right off the PCH. It is beautiful here, but we were amazed at the rates. We are paying about $90/day for our spot. If you are on the bay it's about $220/day. There is obviously a lot of money here. When we got in, we walked down to the beach area on the bay for some flag football that had been organized by the RV park. After football we drove over to Fashion Island, an outdoor mall near by. We had dinner and walked around for a while. When we got back, the park was showing the Disney movie, 'Brother Bear' on a big screen outside down on the beach. After the movie the boys played hide and seek with some of the other kids.
Tomorrow there is going to be all kinds of activities down at the beach and on the bay. My cousin Vinny(Vince Watson) lives near by and is coming up to spend the day with us. The weather is supposed to be nice.(as usual)
