Come travel America with us!
Entry 1 of 241 | show all | print this entry |
Hello Family and Friends! Well we're ready for our RV adventure. I finished shooting today at Home Shopping Network at 3:00pm and Kelly spent the day homeschooling the boys again at Lazy Days while they were making a few last minute repairs.
The boys make friends wherever they go. Today they recruited two older ladies at Lazy Days to help them put the puppy and kitty puzzles together. They also handed out dog bones to all the dogs waiting with their owners in the Service Pavillion.
We headed north out of town in our 39' Fleetwood Excursion pulling the Jeep behind. Believe it or not, it's pretty easy to drive! We've learned you just can't be in a hurry to get anywhere, no u-turns if possible, and NO backing up with a tow car behind.
Our first stop on Hwy. 19 will be Tarpon Springs, FL. Kelly wanted to take Keegan and Collin there for a "sponge diving" fieldtrip. Did you know that it is one of the "Sponge Capitals of the World" and was settled by the Greeks in 1905?
We invite you to come along with us on our trip across America. Life's a school and every new acquaintance a teacher
Arrival: 10:00 pm Linger Longer RV Park in Tarpon Springs, FL

Hey Guys,
Am guessing you have not had reception or the pics from Carlsbad would be posted... looking forward to reading the post about it.
Still battling my cold, appears that I will not be able to fly out tomorrow for Michigan trip. However, still hoping to make it Sarasota area to fish with Rick on Friday.

Pretty nice ride you've got there! I bet it's pretty exciting. I've got one of those but I'm never allowed to ride in it. I snuck out and sat in the drivers seat one afternoon when no one was looking. Must be really exciting if you're inside one that actually moves!
Looking forward to our next field trip lesson Ms. Kelly!

What an incredible opportunity! I recently made a road trip from Colorado to Florida in a Penske Truck and enjoyed the experience. I can only imagine what it must be like in a 39' Fleetwood! Glory!
You guys are going to have a great time! Do you have internet and/or email access when you are on the road? Does satellite t.v. work when on the road?
