Last full day with the Canucks

Unfortunately, the reign of luxury in our lavish uber-modern apartment had to come to an end this morning, checking out before 10am with maximum weariness and regret that we'd decided to stay out until 4am last night. Moving across the road to the main quarters of the hostel, we checked into an upstairs dorm room and dumped our stuff in a decidedly less lavish boudoir. Relalising that we'd pretty much spent all our time in Prague drinking foul liquor and crate upon crate of cheap, sometimes non-alcoholic, booze, we caught a train out for a day trip to a sleepy village called 'Kutna Hora' and checked out the sights.
Kutna Hora is roughly 1 hour outside Prague, and its main attraction is a fifteenth century 'bone church', a morbid, gloomy ass chapel festooned with the skeletal remains of over 40,000 geezers, not dissimilar to the Capuchian monk bone church visited some months ago in Rome. For whatever reason, fashioning the remains of your mates into decorative chandeliers, wall designs and pelvic trimmings seemed to be in vogue back in the 15th century, a period of interior design that is a bit lost on me, per se. But i can appreciate the creativity, and the necessity for the style back in its time. Spent roughly 15 minutes in the heavy aired bone church, marvelled at the intricacy of what you can do with 40,000 skeletons when you really put your mind to it, then moseyed on our merry way.
Feeling decidedly maggot from last ngihts festivities, we kept the sojourn to Kutna Hora rather brief, hitting up the ultra-Eastern Bloc looking train station soon after for a sweaty, non ventilated train back to Prague central. Chilled back at Miss Sophies for a little while, for nana naps and the like, and somehow Philly D and i mustered up some energy to go for a run around the block. I felt knackered, and Phil hadn't run anywhere since the tenth grade, so he was completely bollocked beyond repair.
Sunk the lingering bottles of our two crates of Pilsener, and drummed up some conversation with a few of the hostel inhabitants, before throwing down a tasty, enormous meal of nachos at the 'Bandidos' restaurant across the road from miss Sophies. The experience was pleasant, despite the grumpy waitress bitch from hell, and the burning ring of fire that i would cop tomorrow morning courtesy of the chilli con carne and jalapenos.
Tonight would be the last night i'd spend with my Canadian counterparts, the culmination of a fantastic five night Commonwealth reunion. Originally intending to go out with a bang, i was personally pretty much on my last party legs from last night, and was less than interested in compounding the rapidly waning health predicament. We farted around in random cabs for a while, recieving no success from closed Sunday night clubs and bars, eventually finding our way back to the bloody Tacky Tiki Bar and consuming a couple of cheap margaritas. Sunday night really wasn't much of a night to go out with a bang especially considering our impressive track record, and i felt the eyes of weariness set in at 1am, and scored a cab ride home with an extraordinarily beefy Czech woman. It was the first time i'd come across a female cab driver anywhere, certainly at 1am in the evening. Dove into my dorm bed soon after, listened to some tunes and cosied into my deep mattress into a state of much needed sleep.
