Consumed the obligatory Turkish breakfast with the crew, and continued to be dumbfounded at the Turks' insistence that olives be consumed so early in the day. I can barely stand the salty buggers on a cappricciosa pizza, let alone first thing in the morning. Man, its just too easy to kill time on a cruise boat when the weather is so damn fine and you have bu not a worry in the world
Anchored in yet another gloriously scenic cove, with a typically idyllic stretch of mountainous Meditteranean coastline as a backdrop, we swam, joked, drank, sat, read and relaxed, until another magical sunset rocked into the scene and closed the day. It was already day three of this fantastic experience and none of us wanted it to end. Initially joining them for a quick trek around the nearby land, i wisely headed back to the boat, as Ryan and Shannon proceeded to defy navigation and get extraordinarily lost, later having to swim multiple kilometres in order to get back to the boat, brandishing charity beers in hand donated by sympathetic boat crews along the way.
We gathered for our last dinner of the trip, drank a considerablke quantity of Efes Pilsener and even pulled out the staple Nargile water pipe for a few rounds of very mellow, apple scented hookah smoke. The chef and first mate joined us on deck and we burnt the Midnight Oil with them, listening to good music, drinking good plonk, connecting with good company. Eyelids heavy and belly rotund, I assumed my now entrenched position at the sundeck, watched the moon, and nodded off again to the gentle sway of the wooden gulet.
