We left London on November 11, traveling by train through the 'chunnel'.  Total travel time was just under 2 1/2 hours, really a great way to go!  We were met at the Paris end of the trip by a representative of Monograms and taken by bus to our hotel.  Once again we are conveniently located to the historic sites of Paris with many of them within convenient walking distance!

Our first evening here found us taking a walk of about 2 miles (one way) through the Parisian streets, stopping to eat on the way to the Tour Eiffel - I had learned in my reading that only the American tourists call it the Eiffel Tower!  It was a beautiful, clear evening and making the walk would prove to be a very smart move on our part as the tower was pretty much covered by fog for the remainder of our time in Paris!

We spent half a day on our included city tour which took us into Notre Dame and through several historic areas.  Since than we've been trying to take in as many of the 'must see' sights as possible!  We've gotten pretty good at figuring out the train system here - it is very convenient and relatively inexpensive.  But, for the most  part we've been walking all over the place, it is the best way to experience the cities history and sites!
