We have left Boston behind realizing that our next visit needs to be much longer.  There really is an awful lot to do in and around this historic city.  We have made a short, 3 day stop, here on Cape Cod.  The last two days have been spent taking in the sights.  I think Ken was really hoping to get a dinner invitation to the Kennedy compound but that didn't happen!  Not shocking, since he disagrees with most of their politics.  We had hoped to catch a glimpse of the compound but it is only possible to do so from the water.

We did manage to spend some time in Hyannis along with Provincetown.  Very interesting towns with a lot of history attached to them.  Provincetown is actually where the Mayflower first came to land and where the pilgrims wrote and signed the Mayflower Compact.  They only stayed for a short time prior to heading over to Plymouth.  It is now a funky, touristy town.  Fun for an afternoon but not some place I need to go back to!  The Cape Cod National Seashore, set aside by JFK in 1961, has miles and miles of beaches.  We managed to visit a few of them and even slowed down long enough to spend an hour or two on one with a  good book!
