It is hot back here on the east coast.  This doesn't cause too much of a problem when we are parked and set up since we have power to the house.  It does, however, cause a problem on travel days.  That big ole' windshield lets in a lot of heat and the dash air doesn't do much more than cool our knees!  We have gotten in the habit of unplugging from shore power and turning on the generator.  This allows us the run the coach roof airs and keeps us nice and cool as we travel.

Well, when we left Youngstown the other day the generator would start and immediately stop....crap!!  We drove to Cooperstown and Ken got on the internet.  Our travels from Cooperstown to Lake George would be taking us right through Albany and there was a Cummins/Onan repair center there.  He scheduled an appointment for us and here we are.

It has been determined that the problem isn't actually with the generator but with a transfer switch between the generator and the coach.  It seems the sucker is fried!  The dealer here is willing to fix it but the  part needs to be ordered.  So, we will be spending the night here in the parking lot.  Fortunately they have a 50 amp power source we can plug into.  The part should be here tomorrow afternoon and we should, hopefully, be back on the road sometime tomorrow afternoon...fingers crossed!
