Chugach State Park - Eagle River Campground

Our time on the Kenai Peninsula is now officially over and we are, in fact, on our way out of Alaska.  It is hard to believe that in just under two weeks we will be returning to the Yukon and heading south.  Prior to that however we have a few more Alaskan stops to make along the way.

We spent the last couple of days here in Eagle River in the group camping area.  It was kind of nice being able to have our own 'private' camping area.  We managed to get quite a few errands done while we were here and are now ready for the remainder of our trip.

Be sure and check out the pictures.  As strange as it may seem we had quite a few visitors to our camping area.  Why is it strange you may ask.  Well, we weren't camped that far from the freeway, there are houses all around us and we are only a few miles from Anchorage.  One would think the wildlife would choose to be farther away from all us humans!!
