I have mentioned previously that this is BIG country we are traveling through.  Indeed, one of the problems I ran in to while doing the planning was trying to put campground/overnite stops together with day trips and places that were on the must visit list.

Case in point is tonights choice.  I had done my research and decided that Atlin, BC was a indeed someplace we had to visit.  The only problem was that it was located 58 miles off the Alaska Highway and 36 of those miles were gravel.  My search started for a campground in close proximity.  The best I could do was Johnson's Crossing - it is actually marked on the map and consists of a campground/gas station & bakery, that's all that is there!

So, after almost 200 miles traveling along the Alaska Highway we are settled in for the evening. It's gotten cold and rainy but that is an improvement over the 45 miles of snow flurries we drove through earlier today!
