We are often asked what areas we've visited that we would return to. Close to the top of the list is Oklahoma City.  We can't really give you a reason why, it's just one of those places that has a lot to offer and it feels like 'home'.  Once we give the Oklahoma City answer we are often asked 'have you been to Tulsa'.  Well, up until now we hadn't been.  This side of Oklahoma is known as "green country" and despite a very dry summer the area is still pretty green.

We had a short list of things to do during our visit here, which ended up being a good thing since the humidity was at about 90% making it unbearable to be out in the 'green'. As much as we like Oklahoma City we can't really say the same thing about Tulsa.  It may just be that the weather was uncomfortable - in fact it was too sticky to enjoy being outside in our lake front home!  Maybe we will have to give "green country" another shot at a different time of year.

If they visited OKC the same time of year it would be just as hot and humid as Tulsa. Tulsa has so much to offer visitors and has two of the thousand places to see before you die in Tulsa. The Philbrook and Gilcrease museums.

The area has the second most Art Deco buildings and structures in the US.

Please give Tulsa a chance if you ever pass this way.

We did visit the Philbrick when we there and really enjoyed it. And, I am sure if our travels ever take us back towards Tulsa we will stop off again to give it another look!
