So, while I went inside to register he picked up the phone and called Monaco tech support. About an hour later, and after much trial and error, we managed to get the coach to stop running. We now have an appointment at the local service center on Friday. Like I have said previously - never a dull moment out here on the road
We are only here in the 'Twin Cities' for a few days and I have resigned myself to only being able to hit the highlites. We made the obligatory stop at the Mall of America. I'm not much of a shopper and Ken will only make a purchase if he doesn't have to 'pay retail'. Prior to heading to the mall we had discovered that some friends were staying at the campground with us. They had actually been in the process of checking out when they noticed our coach, so they added a day and met us at the mall. It was fun spending several hours with them catching up on all they have been up to since last we crossed paths.
We also had time to visit the State Capitol in St. Paul. It is a very impressive building and the grounds were the most pristine we have seen After the Capitol we headed over to Minnehaha Falls park to take a look at the falls which are believed to have been the inspiration for Longfellow's poem "Hiawatha". We also found time to tour Lock & Dam #1 on the Mississippi River. All and all a very successful day of sightseeing which gave us just enough of a taste of this area to make us want to come back.
