On the eve of departure I am forced to look back and recall my amazing stay in Washington D.C. Today was my last day of work and I am already missing the intelligent debates, countless other college interns and the grandeur of where I worked for a month. The last few days have been especially important as I found my future home, Georgetown University. What initially caught my interest in the campus was the inspiring architecture and stone fašades of the buildings. The Ivy growing up the sides and the view of the city from the campus apartments was dually impressive. I am simply not content to remain in a normal four year university. I believe that I can accomplish great things in my life and I want to be surrounded in an atmosphere that prizes incredibly accomplishments. I want to work, study, and play with my future competition for CEO and political campaign positions. I am not content to remain an innocent bystander. After that impressive experience I followed it up with a trip the national peace corp. offices. I spent two hours speaking to a recruiter about my future in the corp. I explained that I was interested in Eastern Europe and working with businesses building economies and starting companies. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were the significant focuses of my conversations and I like the idea of learning and growing in the diverse culture. However I will not be leaving for my two year mission until the year 2009. That gives me plenty of time to finish my degree and work with companies gaining real experience. Enjoy the photos and I look forward to my next post.
