Do not be alarmed but I'm having a wee bit of trouble seeing. I have kept thinking I'm tied or a should be wearing my specs but last night I d decided this was sill, I can't see close up well out of my left eye.

So off to a optician I went (a remarkably sensible act for me) the news was OK, I've had a metallic object in my eye which has now come out but has scratched my eye (little bastard). The optician was confident it will heal given time, something I don't like giving it but don't have a lot of choice.

So for a spot of retail therapy and to protect the rest of my sight I have brought some cool glasses with 4 interchangeable lenses including clear so I can wear them all the time whilst cycling - Groovy!

Following some lunch and some pannier filling shopping we set off out of Dunedin in glorious sunshine and cycled down the coast past spectacular beach after spectacular beach.

The campsite was not a shinny modern affair, there was no light in the shower etc, but we did meet some nice folks from a camper van who lent us a tin opener, which bizarrely required adjusting with a pair of pliers before use.
