Motorbike Tour-National Park South of Hanoi 3 days

Ok, so Hanoi has some of the busiest streets in South East Asia, lets do a motorbike tour!
21/5 Day 1 - 160km on busy roads through amazing countryside to Mi Chuw village and stay in a homestay for the night. Met 10 New Zealanders approx age 50plus on a 23 day motorbike tour - Respect! 22/5 Day 2 - 30km of off roading - awesome, breath taking scenery and country. Lunch on the dirt track and then arrive at the mountain village after a horrible decent down the mountain with sheer drops. Night stay with the village chiefs family. 23/5 Day 3 - 220km ride back to Hanoi back down the mountain! and down the Ho Chi Min Trail. The best road in the world compared to the route we took on the 1st day. So quiet and peaceful a road to somewhere!
We both felt it was a big challenge and a big achievement completing this trip. Clare was very nervous at first but was a natural and Alex was worried sick about Clare but we finished. Hot, sweaty (probably lost a few pounds) tired, stiff and aching Rhodesies. Best thing we have done todate on this trip. Crisp update: 23/5 Clare had 1 & half packet of crisps to celebrate getting back into Hanoi in one piece. 24/5 Clare and I had a packet of crisps each whilst uploading trip pics! More thumbnails ...

lovely photos! max & i have been looking at them as you do at 6am when he's woken early whilst watching the goblins on harry potter- he managed to pull himself away from it and loved the bikes! you both look really well bright skins & eyes obviously a good detox eating rice &.... what are you eating? Little update on us we're all good izzy losing teeth & just finished acting in her reception conce... show all

What an amazing trip. You will have so much to remember. I hope you are still writing down your thoughts and feelings. You can look back on this when you are both old and grey!!
