Arrived here safely our time 7.00am after traveling through the night to get here from Mumbai airport.

Few delays at the airport last night but we started our trip to Thailand on the 19th from Cochin airport - popped to Mumbai wondered on the beach there and had a lovely Thai dinner with Elizabeth before we said our goodbyes and parted. Eliz stayed to fly back to England today and we went to the crappy, busy Mumbai airport to fly here after getting a last mnuite flight out here.

We are safe ad nicely settled into the hotel with a pool on the roof - which we have used of course to cool off. We are just off the Koe San road 'Rambuttri Village Inn'  for those of you that know the area! Interenet in plenty suppply so we will update the blog and all chilled here.

Chapter 2 begins watch this space.

Lol to everyone.

20th - 23rd April

Loving Bangkok so far - really chilled out its bliss compared to India and we were only there 3 wks. Settled in fine here the room is basic but clean - even better we have a pool on the roof so a little sunbathing time. Very hot and humid here but bearable.

British cafe near the hotel for our 1st dinner - Jacket potatoe and cheese hhmhmhmmmmmmmm yummy. Cruised through the hot streets and Koe San Road to get our bearings, very busy and loads to buy!

Met some really nice people so far recommending places and things to do, there is so much its difficult what to decide to do 1st. But alot of the people we are meeting are at the end of their trip so they are all jelous of us. You can tell who is going home soon or just on a short holiday cause they are buying extra bags and filling them with thier bargins! Maybe when we come back to Bangkok before we go to the south we will stock up and send home. We have found the post office & redante.

Been on a river trip to see the sites! cant face another temple just yet, ended up in China town which was very busy and more stuff to tempt me to buy ahhhhh. Been to the malls too, a trip on the sky train and taxi rides.

Searching hi and low for a certain book for Mr Rhodes with out success but traded mine in for a new one.

Cheap and lovely food fm the vendors on the streets and having loads of fresh fruit shakes from the millions of stalls as you walk down the street.

Last night went to Pat Pong 1 to check out the lady boys! you have to do the tourist thing, went to one bar and met a couple of Auzzies had a few beverages and they told us how much they got ripped off so we will venture back when we come back to Bangkok in a month or so.

Booked a VIP bus to Chiang Mai tonight at 6pm so checked out the hotel and killing time before we leave for our 12hr bus trip! then hopefully we will get on a trek for a few days.

Hi Both,
Glad you arrived safely. Whilst you were flying from hot India to lovely Thailand we were getting rusty in Madrid. Arrived 18th and just made it to the hotel before th heavans opened. When we left on Monday 21st, of course it was sunny but was hotter at Birmingham airport than in Madrid.
LOL C&G XXXX
