Arrived here the this morning after our 1st lie in! Pushkar has the Holy Lake and the town surrounds this lake, small bazzares, eateries and stalls. Its so temping to buy loads of stuff here as its so cheap but need to remember our money has to last a year! Bought a bag and a shirt only at mo may buy more!!!
Last night at dinner in Jaipur we were entertained by Rajastan traditional dancing which we had a go at and were rubbish. Pics of our activities will have to wait until the internet cafes have good enough software etc Off for dinner now and to risk life an limb crossing these streets with the manic rickshhaw, motorbikes ansd car drivers I tell ya, people worry about my driving you shoiuld see these guys they dont care who is around they want to get somewhere and they get there what ever is in their way.
Jodhpur Clare is sleeping now as the Jodhpur belly has finally won! We have just come back from buying Eliz some new 'Bata' sandals from the bizarre (350R reduced from 450R). Her others were stolen at the Meharangarh, an old Mughal fort still run by the Maharajah of Jodhpur. She took them off as a mark of respect and someone took them, angry Eliz understandably! Great views from up here though of the 'Blue City'. After the fort we had a quick look at the Chamundi Devi Temple dedicated to Durga, very beautiful made from marble. Learned here of other shoeless people too! Nice hotel here Rajputana Palace and everything works too! More thumbnails ...
