Hi Everyone,

On Monday we went to the Palermo area for the day. Really nice area of the city where most of the parks are located. We visited the Japanese Gardens and the zoo. Both of which were really nice. We were a bit skeptical about going to the zoo after seeing so much wildlife in their natural environment on the trip but we were pleasantly surprised. The array of different animals is amazing and the amount of space they are given for a city zoo was really quite good.

The botanical gardens contains hundreds of cats who live there and donīt seem to venture out. The locals go to the gardens to feed and pet them and they are really tame and well cared for.

Found a really nice district full of bars and restaurants so will be returning at the weekend as it is meant to be one of the really popular places to eat and drink in. Although saying that the whole of Buenos Aires is party time, any hour of the day or night!

Spent Tuesday shopping, block after block of shops selling everything and anything. The devaluation of the peso in 2001 has made everything really affordable here now. Had a fantastic dinner at a Parilla (steak house).

Talk soon,

Lisa and Paul x
