Roswell was on our trip tic specifically for the UFO museum.  We did not come away disappointed.  All the info, data, unofficial and official publications concerning the original 1947 crash and subsequent brouhaha was right there in one building.  The price was more than reasonable @ $6 for the two of us.  We spent a very enjoyable hour touring and reading and watching.  We failed to take our cameras, but much of what was available had to be seen closeup in order to know what it was about.  We came away from the experience with just a little more respect for all those who have been abducted and taken to the mother ship for prodding, probing, and various and sundry other things.  If those in the very higher ups of the government have no doubt of alien existence, who are we to dispute their logic and reasoning?

Also, I might mention we are very hot for the end of March.  Came out to the car first thing this morning and the temp was 58.  This afternoon @ 3pm it is 85 outside, and the sun is bright.  The two hour difference from home is still a bit unsettling.  I look at my computer clock and it says 4:57, but my watch says 2:57.  When we would normally be sound asleep at 10-11, the night is actually just getting started here.  And, we have another hour difference to come as we travel further west.  Then we lose the time as we make our journey back.'

So far, this trip has lived up to expectations, and it is actually just getting started.  We have now seen 4 of the 44 things on our original list.  And, one of our nation's best travel bloggers, has added another sight to see North of Albuquerque, NM which is our next stop tomorrow.

Also, I might add that the elevation difference in Roswell, NM and home is playing havoc with my sinuses.  At 4400 ft. above  sea level, and the dryness, my sinuses are suffering.

Sorry guys, I misread your last post and didn't get that you had not really had time to do the Roswell Alien Tour yet. For $6 for both of ya, what a good deal! What fun! Glad to hear you were not abducted and can continue on your way!!

Faye, we are skedaddling outta here this morning. We may have extended our stay for a day, but we don't wanna take chances on being abducted. Albuquerque, here we come. Just a 200 mile drive today.

Karla, $6 for the UFO Museum was well worth it. I got my senior discount and they let Rhonda have my military discount, so we saved $4 there. Regular admission is only $5/person. Still a good deal.
