Good flight home on Thai (good airline to fly with- leaves Qantas for dead) and both of us had 4 and 5 hours sleep so all good for getting home.
Lia and Lenis there to meet us and then reality was back in a flash as the freeway was jammed with the tunnel blocked with an oversized truck jammed in there....sigh...... trekking....hills.... relaxation.... sigh...hee hee... So we arrived home in just under two hours with all the kids there waiting for us (and the pups!) Then Mum, Earl, Rose, Wayne, Carol,Col and Eden all came, so lovely time with all the family together. (so glad we got those good hours sleep on the plane!) So this diary comes to an end and now that its done Im sure Ill be glad in the years to come to have it and relive a little of what we experienced. ....... I need a day or two to think about things and then I might TRY to write for myself my impressions but trying to do it now Im finding it impossible and I wont be suprised if I find my self unable too... But probably the biggest impression made overall of the whole trip was the pollution and this is also the one thing that cant be captured on film or in words but has to be experienced.... As we drive done the Tullamarine freeway on our return the clearness of the sky and the air which was just air (!) is something we will both try to periodically remind ourselves not to take for granted in the future.
