The flight only took about 35 minutes but it was lousy weather so we didnt see any of the magnificent views that are behind the rain clouds (books say this flight is more impressive than flying to Everest but now we wouldnt know!)

Arrived at beautiful Pokhara in cloudy rainy weather with the locals saying the weather is ridiculous.  It never rains at this time of yhear here.  Kathmandu had snow for the first time in 65 years this winter and since then all temps have remained way below the norm... our luck!  Pokhara is the most popular destination in Nepal as it has a beautiful lake with the huge snowcapped Fish Tail mountin sitting right behind it. Postcard Perfect!

Lucky for us the 2nd day the sun came out and so we expereinced the beauty of the place that Ive seen so many photos of on the net.  We basically did nothing for 2days due to my cold. I later found out that the cold and flu tablets I brought at the pharmacy make you sleep so thats why Ive been dragging myself around.  (Id been panicky thinking how am I going to trek in altitude when I cant walk around the lake!? so I stopped the tablets and just stuck with the antibiotics and hopefully Ill be fine by tomorrow - we fly to Jomsom in the heart of the mountains at 7am.
