Back to the hotel for a group sit around with a few drinks in the garden before Rob and I made an early retreat about 8.30pm.
We left at about 8.15 arriving at the resort around lunch time. At 2.30pm we headed off into the National Park for a 3 hour safari in open roofed troop carriers. We saw monkeys spotted deer and a few peacocks (India's national bird) but alas no Bengal tigers. Really none of us held out for even the slightest chance of spotting one as their was a dozen troop carriers crashing down the road - yeah sure a tigers going to walk in front of this noise. We all thought it was a bit of a none event day as the result really was that we had 4 hours in the cars followed by 3 hours in the troop carriers for little reward. Because the group gets on so good inspite of the boring day everyone still had a good laugh during the afternoon with stupid photos taken with everyone "spotting the tiger" in 12 directions (another reason we had buckleys hope of spotting a tiger was probably the noise we were making...hee hee)
