Hostel El Patio in Miraflores
Our hostel pickup guy was waiting at the airport no probs and straight to the hostel.

It is lovely - Hostel El Patio, and yep it has balconies, patios and flowers everywhere and its located in the "good part of Lima" Miaraflores.Started the next morning with a walk down to the new complex in Miraflores. Its situated on the cliff tops and basically hangs off the side of the cliffs overlooking the beach...way way way below. It is shops, cafes, resaturants and entertainment district and pretty up market and really well done.
The pros - impressive complex with spectacular views. Cons - 100 metre zig zag walk to the beach in summer if you want a swim - then you have to climb back up, so Id personally count it as a spectator beach only!.

The area is also popular for hangliding so yep another good spectator sport.
Late afternoon we catch a bus 3 hours to Paracas also referred to as the poor mans Galopacas as it has abundance of wild life and wonderful rocky islands but its easy access makes it a cheap option. Id booked this trip to escape Lima as it didnt get too good a rap on the net and this looked like a nice side trip.. time will tell.
