What a day, we decided to take the coach to Mount Cook as it was very cheap.  Thoroughly enjoyed not having to drive and the elevated view from our coach gave us a new perspective on the scenery and coach travel.  We were lucky again only 24 on the coach and a perfect sunny day with a cloudless blue sky.

Only two key points during the day, the Lindis Pass and Mount Cook itself.  You probably think I'm getting lazy not describing the scenery, but my fear is you will soon get bored with adjectives like "stupendous, amazing, fantastic" etc.  This part of NZ is lovely no matter where you look.  Today we drove through wine country and through one of the most extensive hydro-electric schemes ever constructed.  All fascinating, BUT Mount Cook just wiped us out, snow capped peaks, hanging glaciers against a blue sky create a kind of visual overload that leaves the human mind helpless before its imensity.

So once again I must let the pictures tell our story.
