Mopeds mopeds everywhere. The sheer number of mopeds and motor bikes is a fantastic spectacle to tourists here. There are several figures stating the number of bikes here the most conservative stating that for the 6.3 million people in the city they own 3.5 million mopeds. Still pretty dam impressive if you ask me. I heard figures of up to 4.5 million mopeds, now that's lunacy! We went to the national war museum here where we learnt of the heinous use of chemical warfare exercise by the Americans in the war. Agent Orange, the code name for the herbicide and defoliant spread on all the crops and land in parts of Vietnam which killed every vegetation it touched and seriously mutated people and animals that ingested it for generations. Ghastly stuff. We also visited the cu chi tunnels which the Vietnamese guerrillas used against fighting the Americans. You can shoot an AK47 and an M60 gun amongst others at this site. Be warned there deafeningly loud and the bullets are expensive. Did a one day trip down to the Mekong delta, it was ok!
