We learnt the grueling history of the Kumar Rouge regeime in our few days here in Pnom Penh. We visited the S21 prison where thousands of people were detained and tortured before being brought to a site outside the city and killed, hence the name these places got; the killing fields. It was a heavy lesson to learn and to realise that it happened so recently and to the older generation of people that were still alive in this country. Went for a stroll around the city, not much to see. The Russian market was a disappointment.
