Vientiane's the capital of Loas and our last stop in the country. The president of the country died there around the 12th of this month or so, at 93 years old. I'm not sure but I'd take it that that's a very ripe age to live to in this part of the world. There was national mourning in the country for the last few days and the clubs and pubs dampened the music somewhat. Some places more so than others which meant there was no night club opened in the city. Met a small fortune of Paddys here whom we've previously stumbled into over the last couple of weeks at one stage or another. The city's a grand spot to just chill out for a few days. Off to Bangkok from here to sort out the visa situation.
